PREMIOS EMMY 2015
El 16 de julio de 2015 se dieron a conocer los nominados a los premios Emmy 2015, en donde la serie Game of Thrones encabeza la lista con un total de 24 nominaciones, seguida por American Horror: Freak Show y Olive Kitteridge con 19 y 13 nominaciones, respectivamente.
Andy Samberg fue el anfitrión de la ceremonia de premiación la cual se llevará a cabo el 20 de septiembre desde el Microsoft Theater en Los Angeles.
La ceremonia de premiació tuvo como gran ganadora a la serie Game of Thrones, que además se llevó gran parte de los premios técnicos así como el Emmy al mejor guión y dirección en una serie dramática.
En la división de miniserie la producción Olive Kitteridge se llevó el premio a mejor miniserie, mejor actriz principal, mejor actor principal y mejor actor secundario.
La actriz Allison Janney se llevó su sexto Emmy, y el segundo por Mom; Viola Davis se convirtió en la primera actriz de color en ganar en la categoría de mejor actriz de drama; mientras que Uzo Aduba se llevó su segundo Emmy y consiguió un logro histórico debido al cambio de OITNB de la categoría de comedia a la de drama, así, ella consiguió ganar un premio de actuación en las dos categorías con el mismo personaje, ya que el año pasado fue premiada en la categoría de comedia por su personaje de Crazy Eyes.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus fue premiada por cuarta ocasión por su actuación en la serie Veep. Finalmente el actor Jon Hamm logró ganar el premio como mejor actor de serie de drama, esto después de ocho nominaciones.
